In Dimensions Lab we needed an addtional 3D printer and we were looking for something that is open, easy to maintain, reasonably priced and supports both 110 and 220 volt.

After searching the internet for a while we settled for the Creality 3D Ender-3. We have been using it for a while now and we can comfertably say that we choose a great printer.

Arrival

Our first impression when it arrived, that it was very lightweight, which got us worried about the quality ..... boy we were wrong!

Assembly

After opening it we had to assembel it and surprizingly it was very easy.. legthy but easy and straight forward. And the best part in the assembly that it include spare parts which always wins me over.

Now its not all great. The instructions manual was not clear and it was missing USB/TF card “which it claims to come with it”.

Printing

After assembling it you must level the bed which was a manual process making it naturly tricky and we didn't get it right from the the first time and the first prints were not perfect but eventualy  we got it right.

Heating and cooling the bed was fast. Loading the filament was frustrating though. BUT it was worth it as the prints were detailed.

Overall it is a good printer. We love how it’s open and still Small and compact.
